Using the NZ Esports volunteer portal
These terms explain the basic rules for using the NZ Esports volunteer portal, including account access, volunteer applications, and acceptable use of the platform.
Volunteer accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your login credentials secure. Please use your own email address and keep your password private.
Applications and participation
Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. NZ Esports may review availability, experience, event requirements, and conduct when deciding assignments, approvals, or changes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the portal, interfere with normal operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, or use the system in a way that harms NZ Esports, staff, or other volunteers.
Communications
NZ Esports may send service emails needed for account security and volunteer operations, including verification, password reset, application, and event-related communications.
Content and records
Volunteer history, event participation records, staff notes, and operational data within the portal are maintained to support program administration, recognition, and safeguarding of service history.
Availability of the service
NZ Esports may update, pause, or restrict access to the portal when needed for maintenance, security, or operational changes. We will aim to keep the service reliable, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.
External organiser listings
Approved external organiser listings may appear alongside NZ Esports-run volunteer opportunities. Listing approval allows an event to appear on the platform, but it does not make NZ Esports the organiser, employer, supervisor, insurer, payment provider, or guarantor of the external event.
Organiser responsibilities
External organisers are responsible for planning, managing, supervising, and delivering their own events, including volunteer briefings, venue requirements, health and safety, communication with approved volunteers, and any reimbursement, koha, travel, accommodation, food, or other benefit they choose to offer.
Volunteer consent and data sharing
For external organiser events, volunteers choose which details NZ Esports may share. Selected details should only be released after organiser approval and volunteer confirmation for that event. Organisers must not use volunteer information for unrelated marketing, recruitment, or private reuse.
